The Royal Medieval Faire requires volunteers for a variety of activities, which are outlined in detail below. To sign up and for more details, please contact us at volunteers@royalmedievalfaire.org or (519) 279-4018.

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED!

The faire is into planning stages up for our 19th year this fall, and we are still in need of volunteers to make the event successful. Look for details here on volunteer orientation sessions as they are scheduled. If you are interested in volunteering, then please email or call our volunteer coordinator. Pretending to be a medieval games master and firing giant crossbows is a great way to earn your volunteer hours for school!

INFORMATION FOR SCHOOLS

Coordinator Support

There are many jobs that happen throughout the year, getting ready for the event day -- from helping with organizing, logistics, games repair and other key areas, there are lots of things you could potentially contribute to if you are keen!  See positions available on the Volunteer Action Center here.

Costume & Prop Making

From experienced sewers to those interested in cutting patterns, embroidering or other small handiwork, we invite you and any of your friends to join us in making costumes and props for the faire. If you can swing a hammer, the props department could also use your experience.

Gating Personnel

Collect the admission of $10 per adult and apply a stamp. Kids 12 and under are $5.00.  Family of 4 (2 adults max) are $20.  Monitor and secure the cash boxes to ensure that money does not get stolen.

Parking Personnel

Escort vendors on site in the morning of the Faire. Throughout the day, parking volunteers direct patrons to the parking areas and indicate the admission entrances.

Games Personnel

Operate the games and ensure everyone’s enjoyment of the games.

We ask everyone to sign up for a 4 hour morning or afternoon shift, but encourage all, particularly those operating games, to volunteer all day.
