About the Faire

The Royal Medieval Faire is the Best Event winner of the 2012 Arts Awards Waterloo Region.

What began as a dream in July of 1997 is now an exciting reality.

Hundreds of volunteers get involved every year to create a magical, medieval day in 21st century Waterloo. Over 5,500 patrons attend each year to participate with 150 actors, performers and volunteers to produce a spectacular event.

Now in its 17th season, the faire is an interactive day consisting of vendors, hands-on displays, food & beverages, games, celtic music, magic, swordplay, ceili (old-fashion Irish dance), authentic costumes & decorations, plus much more.

If you want to sew, build, act, or do something else we haven't thought of, contact us and get medieval!

The Royal Medieval Faire will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11am - 6pm in Waterloo Park West.
