The faire is an interactive day consisting of vendors, hands-on displays, food & beverages, games, celtic music, magic, swordplay, ceili (old-fashion Irish dance), authentic costumes & decorations, plus much more.
The Royal Medieval Faire is one of the premier and longest running medieval festivals in Canada.
Every 3rd Saturday in September, many volunteers and organizers come together to create a magical, medieval day in 21st century Waterloo, Ontario. Over 5,000 patrons attend each year to participate with 150 actors, performers and volunteers to produce a spectacular family event.

The 28th Royal Medieval Faire will be held in-person on Saturday, September 20, 2024 (subject to region of Waterloo health guidelines).
General admission: $10.00 (ages 14 and up); Children: $5.00 (ages 13 and under); Family admission: $20 (up to 4 people, maximum two general admission); Babes in arms are free; Personal Support Workers are free with a paid admission. No advance tickets, cash-only at the gates.
This event is suitable for all ages and has something to offer everyone. The entrance admission covers everything in the park except vendor merchandise, food and beverages. It is a great day for the entire family and those interested in history and the arts.
