About

Having run for 22 seasons in beautiful Southern Ontario

The faire is an interactive day consisting of vendors, hands-on displays, food & beverages, games, celtic music, magic, swordplay, ceili (old-fashion Irish dance), authentic costumes & decorations, plus much more.

The Royal Medieval Faire is one of the premier and longest running medieval festivals in Canada.

Every 3rd Saturday in September, many volunteers and organizers come together to create a magical, medieval day in 21st century Waterloo, Ontario. Over 5,000 patrons attend each year to participate with 150 actors, performers and volunteers to produce a spectacular family event.

If you want to sew, build, act, or do something else we haven't thought of, contact us and get medieval!

The Royal Medieval Faire will take place ONLY ONLINE this year on Saturday, September 19, 2020 - more information will be provided about activities closer to the date. The faire is scheduled to return to the park for the following year on Saturday, September 18th, 2021.

The events this year will be free of charge, however as always, donations to support this years fixed expenses (the storage of festival equipment and administrative costs) and our future return to the park would be greatly appreciated.

This event is suitable for all ages and has something to offer everyone. We hope to capture some of the magic of the festival in online activities throughout the day, to keep some of the spirit of the Royal Medieval Faire alive for 2020. It is a great day for the entire family and those interested in history and the arts.

Join us online for faire day to celebrate medieval themes, fun and learning!!
