FESTIVAL DAY-OF VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED! GET YOUR HIGH SCHOOL HOURS!
The faire is into planning stages up for our 26th year this fall, and we are still in need of volunteers to make the event successful. Look for details here on volunteer orientation sessions as they are scheduled. If you are interested in volunteering, then please email or call our volunteer coordinator. Pretending to be a medieval games master and firing giant crossbows is a great way to earn your volunteer hours for high school!
There are many jobs that happen throughout the year, organizing and planning to be ready for the event day -- from helping with organizing, logistics, set design and props and other key areas, there are lots of things you could potentially contribute to if you are keen! See current positions available on the Volunteer Waterloo Region here.
Help us get ready for the event day by helping us make the park look medieval! Lift things, pound stakes, hang banners, build stage areas -- all things that bring the atmosphere of the Kingdom of Mearth to life! Similarly, we need to pack it all up and put it away after the day is done, come help us load out and store the maze and thrones for another year. Click here to apply.
Collect the admission fees at the gates and greet those attending the festival. Handling cash and talking with the public are requirements for this position. Training provided. Click here to apply.
Several medieval "games" are available for families to play -- run the games, encourage the participants and hand out tokens to those participating. Training provided. Click here to apply.
We ask everyone to sign up for a 4 hour morning or afternoon shift, but encourage all, particularly those operating games, to volunteer all day.
